Inclusion & equal opportunities
Diversity is our great strength
MACO embraces diversity - regardless of ethnicity, age or gender. The different perspectives and diverse expertise enrich collaboration within the company.
It is this diversity that enables us to remain innovative and adaptable. We therefore create a corporate culture in which everyone can realise their full potential. And help them to seize opportunities.
Women power
Women in industrial companies? But yes. We support our female colleagues with further and advanced training and exciting career opportunities.
From apprentices to top management, women's power is increasing at MACO. A particularly good example? Our Polish plant with a female quota of 75 per cent.
We live diversity
Generation awareness
Living diversity brings with it great responsibility. After all, diversity in the workforce also means a wide variety of needs and thought patterns that come together in everyday working life.
In 2023, we at MACO therefore focussed on generational awareness. Not only were managers sensitised to the different needs of different age groups in order to properly support all employees. Online training content was also made available to employees on our e-learning platform.
Family friendly
A bedridden mother, a baby or grandparents in need of care - balancing work and family life is often challenging. MACO supports employees in these life situations. One focus in 2023 was on the topic of "Care and work", with the main focus on informing and sensitising employees:
- Online information material and targeted training for employees and managers
- Advice on the options available to relatives of a person in need of care
- Training of internal contact persons & specialists
Concrete measures to make it easier to reconcile work and care range from reducing working hours and parental leave to flexible working time models and working from home to comprehensive time-off management.
Restart after sick leave
Helping employees slowly return to work after several weeks of absence due to illness: Part-time opportunities, monetary allowances and retraining programmes help those who have recovered.
In this way, we protect the health of our employees and contribute to the feel-good culture at MACO.
Germany: Doing good
Collecting donations for various charitable organisations (parents of children with cancer, promoting education in South Africa), raising awareness of organ donation among young people, an insect hotel on the company premises - the social commitment at our branch in Helpsen is wide-ranging. It is supported jointly by the employees and the company management.
